Hi all!
I have finished porting "Nuts & Scrap" to Zeta. You can find a news item posted to ICO back in January here.
The packages have been finished this morning and the game should be published soon (say one week or two).
I want to make sure everything is working properly, so I have created a download spot for the final demo version of the game.
To make things clear, the demo is yet to be officially released, so please don't redistribute it, and the game is considered finished, so this is not a "beta" release (meaning that if no outstanding bugs are found, the package you get will be the final version). Anyway, feel free to write reviews of the game.
You can read the official anouncement (in Spanish) here.
Also, there's a Youtube game trailer here, you can download it and watch it on VLC with something like this.

To download the game, please address to http://josebagar.homelinux.org, in the form, the user for downloading the game is "demo" and the password is "nuts", there you'll be presented with a link to the download. As this is my home computer, this page will be active only until monday night (spanish time), and then will be closed. Also, if you're redirected to zeta-os.com, please make sure you've entered the username and password correctly.

Please, comment on your impressions or if any issue arises. The game should install and run just fine on Zeta 1.21 with no other libs installed than the ones bundled with the system.

Known bug/limitation: If you happen to be running Zeta on VESA mode, you may not be able to start the game fullscreen, to avoid that, change the start script for the game and add "--window" to the last line.

The game is made to work on Zeta 1.21, I have used the old PackageBuilder to port more games to the BeOS and to Zeta, that's why I chose it (earlier development builds worked on earlier versions of Zeta, and even on BeOS, just installing LibPak 1.5, but our main scope is Zeta 1.21). Although I have not used MakeMe much, I did compile a couple of projects just fine (the IDE feels great!).
I have, anyway, read the coding guidelines you posted on your blog, and I know the game doesn't comply with many of them (we don't have a SVG icon, for example).
Let's do it this way: tomorrow I'll try to make a package for Zeta 1.21 with MakeMe, if I run into any trouble, I'll contact you for info and see if I can get the package ready on time.

Also note that the main developer is involved in more projects, like Popochi, which was given a "Best designed" award last week in the Art Futura - Sony Playstation contest. If he decides this game -or any other- should be ported to Zeta, I will try to comply with as many of the coding suggestions as possible (and try to get that nice "Zeta compatible" logo :).

You need the new MakeMe for it, but you will really love it, i swear :)

So in the package you made there are two issues:
1. You install to /boot/apps and not to /boot/apps/Games..
2. Your Link on the desktop does not work. One have to start it from Terminal do get it run

Sorry Bernd, I have right installed the demo to a fresh Zeta 1.21 Beta 2 install (under qemu) and the demo runs from the desktop icon right fine, maybe something changed since that build?
Does this happen to anybody else?

[Edit] BTW, thanks, Bruno!
